Managing Research Data – C3RDM

Research data management (RDM) is an umbrella term for the planned, systematic handling of data generated during the research process, which forms the basis for scientific knowledge.

C³RDM stands for “Cologne Competence Center for Research Data Management,” which includes the USB, the IT Center (ITCC), and Research Management (Department 7). The C³RDM provides comprehensive support and advice on research data management throughout all phases of your research project.

This includes, among other things:

  • Developing a data management plan as part of a third-party funding application
  • Technical storage options during the project
  • Support in finding suitable (specialized) repositories for publishing your research data
