As part of the German Research Foundation's national literature supply system, the Special Collection Area (SSG) Benelux was responsible for the supply of literature across the Benelux until 2015. The SSG Benelux was maintained in cooperation between the University and City Library of Cologne and the University and State Library (ULB) of Münster. Within this special collection area, which is subdivided into the subdivisions Dutch Cultural Circle and Cultural Circle Belgium/Luxembourg, the UCL Cologne took over the management of the special collection Cultural Circle Belgium/Luxembourg. The focus of the collection, the Dutch Cultural Circle, and the coordination office were located at the ULB Münster. The funding of the special collection areas by the DFG was discontinued at the end of 2015.

Benelux Virtual Library

The Virtual Library Benelux, ViFa Benelux in short, is a scientific research and information portal for the disciplines of Dutch Studies, Dutch-, Belgian- and Luxembourg Studies, Frisian Studies and Afrikaans Philology. The ViFa Benelux is a joint project of the University and City Library of Cologne and the University and State Library of Münster. Digital Collection Cultural District Belgium / Luxembourg - Tables of Contents

In addition, you will find tables of contents of approx. 120 periodicals from the Cultural District of Belgium Luxembourg from 1890 to the present in the Digital Collection Cultural District of Belgium / Luxembourg - Tables of Contents.

The Alff Collection

The Alff Collection of the UCL Cologne is a collection of pamphlets, brochures and some newspaper editions on the history of the Brabant and Liège revolutions. It refers to the revolutionary events in the Austrian Netherlands and the Principality of Liège at the end of the 18th century.
