Lockers & lost property
To make your stay with us as pleasant as possible, lockers are available on site for the safe storage of your personal belongings. Should you lose or find something, you will find all the important information about lost property and its return here.
Lockers in the entrance area for clothes
Pin code lock with 2-euro coin or locker chip.
You can buy the chip at the automatic pay station for 50 cents and use it again and again. Simply select "shop function" and draw a 50-cent voucher. With this receipt you will receive a locker chip at the incoming inspection.

Fees for overdrawing the period of loan
The reading room locker regulations (pdf, 20KB) (German) can be viewed at the Reading Room and Interlibrary loans counter.

You have forgotten or lost an item in the main library?
Our security service at the ground floor will keep the found objects for you.

- You can pick up your library cards at the “Infopoint & Library Cards” counter on the ground floor of the main section.

Lockers
Lockers for working in the reading rooms can be obtained from the supervisor in the respective reading room against a deposit. Please note that the lockers must be emptied when the reading rooms are closed.
Lost property
Lost and found items are kept for one week in the Humanities Reading Room or the Special Education Reading Room. After that, the items are transferred to the lost and found office at the janitor’s desk in the Faculty of Humanities.
