In addition, the University of Cologne is committed to supporting researchers in the handling of research data by providing information infrastructure, advisory services and continuing education.

Further information on the topic "research data" of the Cologne Competence Center for Research Data Management (C3RDM)

The guideline was jointly prepared on behalf of the Rectorate by

  • the University and City Library of Cologne (UCL),
  • the Regional Computing Centre (RRZK) and

  • the Division 7 Research Management of the University of Cologne

and then discussed and further developed at faculty level and in the steering committee of the study.

The guideline is based on the feasibility study "Research Data Management at the University of Cologne".

Publication Guidelines of the University of Cologne

The University of Cologne addresses its publishing researchers, including temporarily employed guest researchers and young academics, with the publication guidelines updated in October 2019.

The uniform spelling of the university name is defined in the affiliation details of all publications produced. The guideline also provides information on the correct naming of other affiliations such as faculties, institutes, third-party funded projects and on how to deal with double or multiple affiliations.
