For first-year students at the UoC and all others who are coming to the library for the first time.
Library card – not only for borrowing books
You always need your library card (as a card or as a digital ID) to pass through the entrance system in the foyer. You can borrow books with it, use our reading room and internet workstations to work and have access to the parent-child room.
All persons who have a German residence can obtain a library card. Please fill in our online registration form. Immediately after registering online, you can pick up your library card at our "Registration & Interlibrary loans return counter" on the ground floor in the Main Library.
