Department of Human Sciences (HWA)
The HWA is part of the University and City Library and is located in the main building of the Faculty of Human Sciences.
It provides the Faculty of Human Sciences with literature from the collection areas of education, psychology, rehabilitation science, sociology of childhood and adolescence and didactics. The collection comprises around 100,000 monographs, including more than 10,000 copies of textbooks, 1,200 journal titles, including 100 current subscriptions and over 400 psychological test procedures.

The majority of the holdings are stored and are made available at the circulation desk within 20 minutes of being ordered via the catalog.

Human Sciences Reading Room
The Human Sciences Reading Room contains:
- Reference works: encyclopedias, dictionaries
- Introductory literature
- Reference copies of the most frequently requested textbooks (including special education)
- Journals on all human sciences subjects with the exception of special education. Issues from 2000 onwards are available for use in the reading room. Older editions from the stacks are available at the reading room counter.
- Special education journals can be found in the Special Education Reading Room.

Test library
The Test Library is a cooperative institution of the USB and the Faculty of Human Sciences.
Note
The use of the approximately 400 psychological test procedures is only available to members and affiliates of the university and is subject to special conditions (terms of use, test declaration of commitment, consumables declaration of commitment).
Ordering
- Test procedures and consumables can be ordered from the university catalog using a form.
- If you require larger quantities of consumables, please contact us in advance by email as early as possible. Orders placed by us can take up to 14 days to process.
Library introduction for first semester students
