On this page you can find out how to collect or return borrowed books.
Please note: Books from the stacks and interlibrary loans can be booked via our lending machines. Valuable and historical works that cannot be borrowed from outside the library can be viewed in our reading rooms.

Loan period
usually 4 weeks from the day of borrowing, renewals and reservations are possible.
For interlibrary loans, the lending period is determined by the borrowing library (usually 4 weeks), renewals and reservations are not possible.
For employees of the University of Cologne: usually 18 months without the possibility of renewal. If the book is reserved, the loan period is one month from the date of reservation.

Provision
Orders until 3 p.m.: approx. 60 minutes after ordering. Orders after 3 p.m.: the following day.
Collection period
2 weeks from the day of the order
Loan period
usually 4 weeks from the day of loan, renewals and reservations are possible.
For employees of the University of Cologne: usually 18 months without the possibility of renewal.
If the book is reserved, a loan period of one month applies from the day of reservation.

- via book drop in the circulation desk (do not drop in test procedures)

Test library of the HWA
Location
The Human Sciences Department is located in the main building of the Faculty of Human Sciences (site plan, building 216).
Note
The use of the approximately 400 psychological test procedures is only possible for members and affiliates of the university and is subject to special conditions(user regulations).
Ordering
Test procedures and consumables can be ordered in the university catalog using a form.
If you require larger quantities of consumables, please contact us by e-mail as early as possible in advance. It can take up to 14 days for us to process your order.

Media published before 1945 and journal volumes from the stacks as well as unbound materials can only be ordered in the reading room. You can make scans there free of charge.
