When is an extension possible?
- if the item has not been reserved by another person
- from 7 days before the loan period expires
- Renewals are possible after the loan period has expired.
Please note: Overdue fees will still be charged for subsequent renewals.
When will an extension be refused?
- If the conditions listed under "When is an extension possible?" are not met
- Interlibrary loans are excluded from renewal
Please note: If you renew an item on the last day of the loan period, overdraft fees will be charged immediately on the next day for any renewals that are rejected. Therefore, please always renew items in good time.
How often is a renewal possible?
- Borrowed media can be renewed as often as necessary until the maximum loan period of 6 months has been reached.
- The maximum loan period for media available for consultation in the reading room is 2 months.
