Unfortunately, our 800 places in the reading rooms are not enough for all students. For this examination phase, we have therefore decided to make the workstations available exclusively to members of the University of Cologne.

All non-members of the University of Cologne will only be allowed through at the entrance control from 18:00 and can borrow books from this time onwards. 

The return of books is possible for everyone during the entire opening hours:
Mon - Fri: 9 - 24
Sat - Sun: 9 - 21

We ask students from other universities to use the study areas and workstations at their institution - this way, learning is more relaxed for everyone.

Historical Collections Reading Room

During the examination phase, as a non-member of the University of Cologne, you can only consult books in the Historical Collections Reading Room by prior arrangement. Please contact sammlungub.uni-koeln.de by e-mail.
