ACM Open - Open Access for the University of Cologne
The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) is gradually converting its scientific journals in the ACM Digital Library to a fully open access model. The aim is to make all content freely accessible by the end of 2026. The current read-only license will therefore only be offered until 31 December 2025.
The University and City Library of Cologne, together with the IT Center Cologne (ITCC) and the Library for Computer Science and Information Systems, has already acquired the new ACM Open License for a period of five years.
Term of the contract: until 31 December 2029
The license offers:
- Campus-wide access to all contents of the ACM Digital Library
- Free Open Access publishing for members of the University of Cologne
Publishing with ACM Open
Authors of the University of Cologne can publish Open Access free of charge and unlimited - in all ACM journals and conference proceedings, provided it is an eligible article type.
