Digitisation service for visually impaired students: Literature conversion
In cooperation with the Servicezentrum Inklusion of the University of Cologne we digitise books, learning materials and scripts for visually impaired students.
Knowledge that gets through. We make books readable
Together with the Servicezentrum Inklusion, we are making digital study literature available - even beyond the original project end in 2016!
The UCL digitisation centre scans the literature ordered for this purpose.
You can choose:
- almost the entire stock of UCL, if there are no conservation reasons against it
- on request, the holdings of the university's institute libraries
- on request, study materials, scripts, articles from specialist journals and students' own specialist books can be digitised in UCL
The Servicezentrum Inklusion has barrier-free PC workstations (German) on the 2nd floor. Students with a visual impairment can use their converted literature there.
For each visually impaired student, the literature implementation (German) starts and ends for the entire duration of the study in the Service Center Inclusion.
