Writing is a process that is mainly used to communicate content. So why sit alone at home or in the library instead of exchanging ideas with other writers? That's why we are organising the Writing Week together with the Centre for Writing Competence and the TH Köln.

During the writing week, you will work together with fellow students from both universities on your term papers, bachelor's or master's theses in rooms at the UCL.
There will be rooms where you can mainly work quietly, as well as rooms where you can discuss your texts, literature research or revision options. You can discuss questions and problems directly with peers from the Writing Competence Centre.
If you like, you can set daily goals together with your fellow students in the morning. In the evening, we will discuss their realisation so that you can evaluate and possibly revise your plans.

Every morning there will be a short session on different writing methods so that you can familiarise yourself with them and try them out for yourself:

• Monday: Planning pentagon
• Tuesday: 3-step method
• Wednesday: Freewriting
• Thursday: Pomodoro technique
• Friday: Flash exposé

If you feel like it, you can meet up with the "Mensa group" for lunch. On your return, the Pausenexpress will get you going again!

The writing week will take place from 4 to 8 March 2024, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., in lecture halls B I and B VI in the UCL (entrance Kerpener Str. 20, 3rd floor).
